0:00 Welcome to another Adaptify Essentials video. This time it's all about keywords, so let's get started. To find your keyword strategy dashboard, start on the main page of your website. 0:14 Scroll down past backlink pitching. To your content plan. From here, click on keyword strategy. Within the keyword strategy dashboard, you have a lot of control over how we cluster your keywords, how they're written, which keywords are used for which articles, and much, much more. 0:33 So let's jump into it. Let's start by discussing keyword clusters. When you first set up your website, we're going to use the URL to go in, take a look, and create keyword clusters that we feel are very strong and will be able to get you ranked quickly. 0:49 If you choose, you can go ahead and just go with the clusters that we recommend. We'll start with the top cluster, create keywords under that cluster, and then if you have your auto-publishing turned on, we just start at the top keyword and start creating articles, working our way down and up. 1:07 until we run out of keywords in this cluster. When that happens, we move on to the next one, and so on and so forth. 1:13 You never have to worry about running out of keywords, as at the beginning of every month the AI will take a look and make sure that you have enough keywords to make enough content. 1:23 for however many articles you have set up in your automated content plan. If you're a little bit more hands-on, and if you have something specific, so if your client has a specific product or a specific service that you would like to target with specific keywords, you can come down to add new cluster 1:42 , type in whatever that product or service is, click create, and we will once again recommend you the best keywords for that particular service. 1:55 From the keywords themselves, you can see what every keyword's potential is. If you scroll over the keyword, you'll also see it's difficulty in volume. 2:04 Keywords with an upward trending arrow mean that they're currently trending in volume. Those keywords will signify something that may give you a significant boost in ratings if you go ahead and create an article with them. 2:17 Have specific keywords that you want to add? No problem! You can click on Add Keywords here and we'll add whatever you'd like underneath. 2:24 underneath the specific cluster. can also move your keywords around. They can just be dragged and dropped into any order. Remember, when your automated content is on, we will start with the top keyword and work our way down. 2:38 So if you see something towards the bottom that you'd like to write an article on sooner, just grab, drop, and it will be written in whatever order you place it. 2:47 You also have the ability to import keywords if you already have a list that you're using, or export them if you want to export them for the keywords that we've recommended. 2:58 Another thing to remember is that every cluster can have a unique pillar page. This pillar page is going to be used in the call to action for any article that's written from the keywords under that cluster. 3:13 What that means as an example is if you're a roofing company who deals with tornado damage and you have a keyword cluster that is tornado damage, any keyword underneath that cluster that writes an article can point back to your tornado damage specific page on your website. 3:33 All you need to do is put the URL to that page here. These pillar pages can be different for every cluster, so make sure to go ahead and take a look, see if you have anything that matches your content, and feel free to customize. 3:48 If you don't add a custom pillar page, by default the pillar page, and therefore the call to action in every article, will just go to the front page of your website. 3:57 You can also turn clusters on and off as you please. To do so, just go up here and scroll on in content plan. 4:07 It will change to this blue remove cluster from content plan. Click and it will remove it. Sometimes this does take a moment, so what you'll see is this pulsing icon. 4:19 Once it has been removed, it will show up down in the clusters that are waiting to be used. If you want to use one, one of these clusters, click on any of them that are scheduled. 4:30 Highlight the gray scheduled button. It will turn to blue, add cluster to content plan. Click and now it will be added to your content plan. 4:42 Again, you'll see a little bit of pulsing with the green check mark. That just means that the AI is thinking and it's working to get suitable keywords before it adds it to your content plan. 4:53 This process can take a few minutes, so it's a good idea to just get it started and then maybe walk away from it. 5:00 By the time you come back, your keywords will be ready for you. And that's all about keywords. Remember, your keyword research is the pillar of starting to create content. 5:13 It is important that if you have something really specific that you want us to write content on, that you do come in and create it. 5:22 In a future video, we'll also talk about how you can create a piece of content on the fly from one keyword only, without needing to come in and manage all of your clusters. 5:31 So stay tuned, we have more to come.
