0:00 Welcome to Adaptify Essentials. Today we're going to go through everything you need to know to make your settings a success. 0:09 To access your settings dashboard, you're going to start on the main overview screen of your website. Right underneath website overview, you'll find the button for all website settings. 0:19 Go ahead and click it. Click this button and let's get started. From here, you have access to all of the settings for your Adaptify account. 0:28 This includes things like editing your company strategy or customer avatar. These are pre-created for you based off of what the AI finds on your website. 0:38 You can leave them as is or feel free to go ahead and edit them to make them closer to your brand as needed. 0:45 From there, you can scroll down and you can find your AI feedback. This is going to be all of the feedback that you've given the AI while using the give feedback button from any piece of content. 0:57 If you've decided that you no longer need that feedback, you can click manage feedback given, find whichever feedback you no longer need, and then go ahead and click the ignore this feedback icon. 1:09 That takes the feedback away and the AI will no longer use that feedback when writing your content. Under that is where all of your images live. 1:18 We do have a separate video based on images so I won't go too in-depth on that, but if you click into manage images you will get to your image dashboard where you can manage all four types of images that we offer including AI generated images, stock images, custom infographics, and our image library. 1:38 Updated from when we did do the images video, we now do offer the ability to show or not show your logo in the custom infographics and AI branding. 1:49 if you have any other questions about images, feel free to go take a look at that video. Going back to your settings, underneath the images, you'll find information about your writing style. 2:01 This is going to allow you to select things such as your point of view, type of website? That means if you're something like a home repair client, you might want your content to sound more like it would if it was written for Home Depot. 2:21 Or if you're a beauty client, something more like Lush. By default, this is just going to say that it's optimized for your site. 2:29 That's going to give you the best tone of voice out the gate that you can then use your feedback to steer more towards your branding. 2:38 You also can do your pricing. Never mention pricing is going to be the default, but you can also use the following info when mentioning pricing and give pricing details. 2:48 Or you can use auto detect when relevant. If you do this, the AI will then kind of detect when it's going to be relevant to mention a product or a service in the pricing. 2:58 And include it as needed. Again, by default, that's never going to be mentioned. Article length. All of our articles start out at about 2,000 to 3,000 words. 3:10 We've just found that this is a really good link that allows us to get everything that you want for good SEO, including outbound linking, inbound linking. 3:18 , good images, having a good readability, and also giving the client some sort of an educational service. So we're really hitting all of Google's EEAT requirements in that long stylized format. 3:33 If you do prefer, we do offer shorter articles from 1,000 to 3 to 1,500 words. You're still going to get all of those good things for SEO, it's just going to be in a more condensed package. 3:45 By default, you will be getting the longer word count. You can mention or not mention your competitors. By default, this is going to turned off. 3:55 If you do turn it on, you do have the ability to have a list of people that you do not want to mention. 4:01 So if there's someone specific that you never want to have come up in your articles, definitely feel free to put them here. 4:08 Again, by default, this is going to be off and we will not mention or link any competing businesses. Next up is going to be configuring your local SEO. 4:18 This is going to be if you have a client that is trying to really specialize in a smaller geographical area. 4:26 Somebody such as San Diego's Best Lawyer or Best Roofing Company. In that case, I would put in San Diego, California. 4:36 Maybe like Carlsbad, California. Encinitas, California. Even up to Los Angeles. Any places nearby that you would like to target for your content in your SEO, go ahead and put them here and the AI will adjust accordingly. 4:54 Moving down from here, we also have source data. By default, this is only going to show your website, but if you have clients that need more of a specialized sources, so clients primarily for things like medical, dental, lawyers, people who want to use very specific sources, maybe a .gov source or something 5:15 like Medical News Today, you can click here. Add more data, add website, put in the URL of the website that you would like us to use often as a source, and submit. 5:27 Once you do that, that website will show up here and the AI will use it as a source data much more frequently for your content. 5:35 Underneath this, you'll find some website details. Things like your company name, the author, so whoever is going to be credited for having written the content, backlink pitch settings, automated content settings, one-click publishing settings, Google Search Console settings, and the ability to delete 5:54 the website. Please note that if you ever use the word the delete website button, there is no way for us to recover any of your data. 6:02 So if you'd want to restart with that website, you'll have to start from scratch. So that's going to be it today.
