To add Shopify Integration to your Adaptify Account follow these simple steps:
How to set up the Shopify integration for automatically publishing articles to your website:
2026 Update: follow the
Step 1: Log in to your Shopify Site and navigate to "Apps", don't click on "Add apps", but click on "Apps" or the little arrow next to it.
Step 2: You should see this overlay, Click on "App and sales channel settings"
Step 3: you should see a modal called "Settings", now click "Develop Apps":
Step 4: Here, click on "Create an app":
Step 5: Give it any name, like "Adaptify" and then press Create App:
Step 6: Cool you now have a Shopify App, let's continue and press "Configure Admin API scopes", if you don't see this button, go to "Configuration" and then select API scopes there:
Step 7: This screen should show you a list of API access scopes, you can type in write_content or find the "Store Content" section.
Step 8: Make sure both write_content and read_content are selected like this:
Step 9: Now press "Save" to continue:
Step 10: Here, click on "Install App":
Step 11: Click on Install:
Step 12: You're almost there, we just need this Admin API access token to publish to your website. Press Reveal token once:
Step 13: It then reveals this piece of text, make sure to copy it, as you will only be able to see it once.
Step 14: When you have copied it, paste it in the field below:
Adding the Correct Shopify URL in Adaptify’s Settings
After completing the initial integration steps, make sure to add the correct Shopify URL in your Adaptify settings to complete your publishing integration. To do so follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the admin interface of your Shopify store.
Step 2: In the sidebar, navigate to Settings → Domains.
Step 3: On the Domains settings page, look for a URL that includes myshopify.com.
Step 4: Copy this myshopify.com URL (be sure it includes https:// at the beginning).
Step 5: Paste this URL into your address bar to confirm it works.
Step 6: Paste this confirmed URL into your Adaptify settings under Shopify URL.
Your setup is now complete! If you've followed these steps, your Shopify URL is now correctly configured in Adaptify.
